Glossary of 'Social Software' terms and their relevance to education
Conclusions to the experiment
This wiki has been set up as an experiment to test a mechanism of getting more people within a group to contribute to a wiki, rather than what usually happens which is 1 or 2 people edit the wiki, a few others 'lurk' and other people don't engage at all.
This wiki has been set up containing a list (Use the index on the right-hand side or below) of about 70 terms to do with social software - the objective was for each term to
- Give a concise definition in lay person's language of that term.
- Give an example of how this term could be significant in the use of education.
- If possible, link to an example of this in use.
- If feeling confident, have a go at embedding a relevant video clip or image from one of the various sites using this term.
